The purpose of the computer technology center is to provide services and training that meets the needs of the consumers. Consumers will learn modern technology skills that are marketable and able to compete with other job seekers.

Computer assisted instruction for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities will increase their vocabulary, recognition of symbols, increase social interaction and identification of written words. The center will be able to accomodate needs of the consumer with individualized training and software that is user friendly.

Part of JESS' vision is to offer quality services with dignity, diversity and consumer satisfaction.

Through a generous grant from Microsoft, the JESS Computer Technology and Career Center will be offering job readiness and basic computer training for consumers. The center will provide intense job readiness training that will prepare consumers for competitve employment.
