Adult Employment Services
Job Retention is a program for JESS consumers who are employed and want to improve their job situations and work on long-term career goals. Ongoing supports are provided to consumers for as long as they are employed.

JESS will provide each consumer in its Job Placement Program with the supports and assistance he or she needs to be successful in employment. Some of the highlights of the Job Placement Program are:

JESS will provide each consumer in its Job Placement Program with the supports and assistance he or she needs to be successful in employment. Some of the highlights of the Job Placement Program are:
- An individual Plan developed jointly by the individual and the Supported Employment Specialist
- An Assessment of the individual's strengths, interests, and preferences
- Basic Employment Survival Training (BEST) that provides job readiness skills
- Job Searching which actively involves the consumer
- Job Matching, or the best of all possible "fits" for each individual
- Job Coaching, if needed or wanted, until the individual feels comfortable on their job
- Follow-along support for as long as the individual is working
- Career Guidance and support in maintaining and improving their career.
Individuals who participate in the Adult Programs have a wide variety of services available to them. Assistance can be obtained in finding and keeping a job. In addition, job coaching is available to individuals who need extra support on their jobs. A job coach will assist the individual perform job tasks independently until they are no longer needed.
